Ron Keliipio: Ceri Richards (b. 1903) was a Welsh abstract artist who might fill the bill. There are works of his in the Tate and there is a good bit about him on the internet.Roy Lichtenstein: Landscape with Figures, 1980. He was a Pop artist, so might fit the bill.
