answers 0:I have bachelor of science in mathematics. I graduated in May 2008. Unfortunately the degree proved to be worthless as far as money making goes. I was never able to find any job anywhere with it. Since then I have applied like 400 places nationwide, in the private sector as well as government sector but I never heard back from anyone. I especially applied lots of federal jobs. i spent hours on monster and careerbuilder job sites. looked at craigslist jobs but they turned out to be nigerian scam. Tired and fed up I gave up job hunt 4 months back. it seems getting a job is like winning the lottery. The unskilled jobs like store cashier or minimum wage did not hire me either. They said they can't hire because of the degree I possess. Some people told me to lie on the application that I never went to university. I did that and I still cou! ld not find any job. I spoke to a store manager and he took me to his room and showed me a stack of applications. They were like 650 to 700 applications for the unskilled grocery store job. I was shocked to see such load of applications. Then the manager told me, "you tell me. i have this mountain stack on my desk already and then you are asking me for job too" Also I spent 50,000 dollars for the bachelor degree in mathematics. Now I can't even go back to school to complete a second bachelor degree in electrical engineering because i maxed out federal aid for undergraduate. For the past 3 years I have been unemployed with no direction whatsoever in life. I even went to a job fair and the recruiter told me "3 years of unemployment is direct disqualification from job. that shows weakness in you". Then what the heck am i to do? Now i need root canals on my teeth and don't even have dental insurance and had to sell my car to gather funds for the 5 root canals and crowns that ! I need. the internet i am using is my neighbor's unsecured rou! ter. I even filed chapter 7 bankruptcy protection last year because chronic unemployment totally paralyzed me from making any kind of bill payment. I had to take cash out of credit card to pay 1800 to bankruptcy lawyer. i get depression because of all this and i can't even sleep properly in night. And on top of all this, the conservative yahoo answerers keep reporting my answers and questions to get them deleted. because of them i keep getting violation notice emails too...Show moreanswers 1:Denounce the Democratic party and stop taking hand outs. This has the benefit of giving Americans coverage of the combat nature of what the troops are facing, but not the best overall view of the country because it also means that talking with Iraqi civilians is extremely limited for many reporters. Overall, what is on the news is decided by journalists, but a lot of what is played is chosen on its sensationalism value, especially on networks like CNN and MSNBC and FOX News where they're trying to fill 24 hours with news so they keep rehashing points and stories. This is why coverage on all of these networks leads them to cover "episodic" type stories that they can sustain coverage of throughout the day. In terms of international stories, some stories are covered because the news organization has a bureau in that country. Like CNN is one of the BIGGEST news organizations with the most news bureaus around the world, to my recollection. But when a news station do! esn't have a bureau in, say, Chile, sometimes the story doesn't get cov! ered regardless of it's importance. Also, what you see with political reporting is often the product of what journalists have been given by government sources, who often have their own agenda. And as a last thing, please don't confuse real journalists with political pundits. The New York Times just did a story about how the Pentagon actually had a bunch of people that they coached to have them say certain things on the Sunday morning political talk shows. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/20/washington/20gen...answers 11:move to china or mexico where the jobs are.Thank a Republican on your way out.answers 12:yepanswers 13:scott: if in 10 minutes you do not point out what is wrong with my English, you will be on my block listanswers 14:People who went to liberal arts colleges, were taught liberal ideals with SPECIOUS arguments are the ones who decide what is PUBLISHED.
