We don't need no education.?

Truman Biby: The education in schools as opposed to unofficial education is something to consider if question not sarcasm.Unofficial education is where people bring books of interest such as philosophy, political book, environment books say from a library and then discuss them at a class. The trouble with studying philosophy in say a class is the issues are dead and not discussed among people while they are alive. Also again focus not on how to protect people from future disease and programs with up to date information ran every day by students exchanged with others. History is important but also student participation in current issues....Show more

Sherrill Botting: But I don't agree.

Adelle Weight: How will you fill out job applications, get a learner's driving permit, or know what is in all those packages with pretty pictures on the cans in the supermarkets? People who can't read have been known to drink dish soap with a picture of a lemon on the label. How ! would you pay bills or know what groceries you can afford to get?If you don't have a basic education you are dependent on others to help you do the most basic things you have to do to survive.Without an education, a person has no choices for their future. They will have to dig ditches and be janitors because they have no choice. With an education, if you want to dig ditches, you can choose to but you can also become a doctor or lawyer or a space engineer. You can even become president of the US.An education offers you opportunities to become who you want to be and do what will be fulfilling to you rather than being forced to be what someone with an education chooses for you....Show more

Chris Wilczewski: When you can't read and write you will be in for one big battle in today's world.

Virgil Loatman: One has to have some kind of education. Now, if you are talking "formal" education, like going to school, then no, it isn't NEEDED. I don't agree that a person d! oesn't need education, but I also understand that we need jani! tors, ditch diggers and fast food workers.
