Wilfredo Muldoon: Most company HR departments don't really give references so much as just confirm that you worked there from this day until that day. They won't say if you were good, bad or indifferent. You should have some personal references that you can supply. You should also keep up on your references so the information you pass out is valid and accurate and not just "hope" someone will remember you and give you a good reference. It's also a good idea to check with your references every six months or so to make sure that they're still willing to do that for you. References should never be left to chance....Show more
