Vernon Martorana: It's no telling. Some of the repairs that didn't fix the problems were a bit of a waste. Suqealing brakes might be easy to fix as long as they aren't worn out. Anti squeal paste on the back of the pads does the trick. Engine stuttering could be serious or minor- $ or $$$$$. A new car will eliminate all the old problems and leaving the old car as is for a trade-in gets rid of it. The money already spent is not coming back, however, and a new car is not free. Whose money will we be spending? That's whose choice it is,- good choice or not....Show more
Robin Tommie: you are $9000 into a $2500 car. you lost it when you had an engine put in it. Brakes are regular maintenance, so you need to fix that. the grinding and squealing are probably both brake noises. Have them estimate what it is to fix the stuttering. you should have bought a different car with the $ you spent on a new engine and sent that one to the wrecking yard.
Asa Soho: you've spent o! ver $9000 on this car. it's not worth it anymore you can get a new car for less than that. i'd let the dealer take it as is.
Nannie Kasee: you would be better off buying another car.if you spent more on repairs than the car cost and its still something wrong with it.you should get a HONDA its more dependable.
Dorris Homola: never repair a car to trade in...you just end up doing a 500 dollar repair the dealer can do for 200..[free labor and wholesale parts.....a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into...what is a car? lol
Alphonso Brake: Thankx you guys for the great advice...wish I could pick you all as best response!
Toby Women: I think that I would give up on the money sucking hog. It doesn't sound to me like the repairs are ever going to end.
Russell Mckinzie: It is probably bad wheel bearings for the grinding noise. For the squealing, he will need new brakes and pads.Usually, bad wheel bearings cause a grinding noise.I suggest purch! asing new wheel bearings from http://mibeairngs.comThey have U! SA made wheel bearings at a very good price.Good Luck!...Show more
