connection my computer to a network?

Jasper Mangel: well there can be a number of problems, First check the cable and make sure there are no breaks in it, then check and make sure it is securely plugged in to both the router and the pc, if it still isnt working then try to reboot the router, do this by unplugging the power cord for atleast 10 seconds then plug it in and let it reboot, should take about 30 seconds. Then if it still isnt working, if you have a second computer in your home, check if that has internet.

Majorie Chester: by rebooting, do you mean you reinstalled the operating system? If so, did the OS reinstall the proper drivers for the network card on your computer. Assuming you are using windows... go into your device manager and make sure you dont have any yellow warning symbols. If you do, you need to most likely get drivers for all those errors. If you have one on your network card, then that is specifically why you are not connecting to the network.
