Armanda Hertel: If they are replacing the carpet ask if they could change the color of your YELLOW walls. I think they should at least let you re-paint the walls a neutral color. My inn-laws are Land Lords and they would insist on re-paining it.. If you like earthy colors you could look for sunflowers as a color palette. They have greens and browns in them. But I'd just ask 1st.. Good luck on the sunshine room :)
Codi Manchel: If you don't like bright yellow, hang fabric or tapestry over it. I know thiswill probably be expensive so I'll tell you what to do. Go to Walmart and buy some appealing fabric from the clearence table in the fabric section. It's only 1.50 to two dollars a yard. If your room measures 12 yards-you can get guaze or crepe-very good to do this with, it hangs well. Or if you have tapestry already, go with that!
Jeannine Vassie: Here this might help you figure out some good colors to go with the bright yellow. I probably wouldn't decorate! with bright colors though because that will definitely not tone the yellow down..maybe whites and blues..or neutrals with a splash of red. Hope this helps good luck!http://www.bhg.com/decorating/color/colors/yellow-...
Bennie Lantgen: Lots of pics on the wall
Michelle Sohre: Well if the doors and the trim are painted that would be unappealing, but paint doesn't cost much for white. OK i did my kitchen in white and yellow walls. White is the ceiling the trim doors and cabinets. inside of cabinets is yellow and shelves are checkered red and white, also my curtains the same.I have a counter top with white and the trim is black so my cabinet handles are all black. I have a small hutch i painted white with black handles. My rug and towels are red. My wall decor is black wrought iron swirl. So like your couch what ever color it is make that the splash of here and there color like if it is a beige then add the accent color which could be of the curtains and some couch! pillows maybe a frame or 2 a vase, flowers then the wall deco! r can be of the rug color or floor or of your tables like if you have dark brown tables a wrought iron ornamental wall hang in a brown to rust color. I don't think they will remember if they painted the trim white or not. So make it lively here is a visualizer go to the Sherwin Williamshttp://log-homes.thefuntimesguide.com/2007/06/colo......Show more
Cliff Jacoby: purple
Marita Stadick: I painted my bathroom yellow- at first it seemed too bright and now I like it- very cheerful. I used light blue accents (towels and accessories) and framed all the art on the wall with black wood frames. The blue softens the yellow and the black is bolder than the yellow. On the other hand, why don't you try and get permission to paint?
Robt Betker: Also, they painted the walls yellow. That was the new paint job. The land lady's son did it. So, I'm pretty sure re-painting is out of the question.
