Barton Morfee: Ask the service or party that hired you if they would like you to prepare any special drinks (older folks have odd names faves you may want to know as well as any local sports bar faves) Standards are Gin and Vodka martini, Scotch and soda, G&T, 7&7, Belini (champagne cocktail) - it will really be dictated mor by what the bar is stocked with and what the age of the party goers are. For kids you can play with standard juice and soda combos and drw up a special wedding list for them (give them fun name like chocolate kiss for a chocolate syrup and soda water or angels wings for the vanilla version) Having ! a special coktail that reflects the happy couple is also a good tip builder for example if they love coffee have a coffee martini or if they are going to Hawaii have a honeymoon lei over and make a pineapple cocktail. Loriann Carrigan: Weddings are normally easy cause people aren't going to crazy.Most bars with have the basics to work with...-Red and White wine.-A few basic beer choices, Budweiser, Bud Light, Heineken, Amstel Light should cover a good crowd.-Vodka, Rum, Gin, Tequila, Triple Sec, Scotch, Whiskey/Bourbon, and Vermouths (Sweet/Dry).-And mixers like Coke, Club Soda, Tonic, OJ, Cranberry, lime juice and Grenadine.People don't expect a full bar at a banquet hall so the drinks are normally basic, Rum and coke, Gin and tonic, Vodka Cranberry, ect..1 Part Alcohol (about 2 oz.) over ice, then fill with the mixer and add the appropriet garnish (lemon, lime, orange, or cherry).A Few popular others are...Martini- 2 part Gin/Vodka, 1 part Dry Vermouth. Shake with ice, pour into martini glass. OliveManhattan/Rob Roy- 2 part Bourbon/Scotch, 1 part Sweet Vermouth. Shake with ice, pour into martini! glass.
