Rosalba Lingner: you call that a car
Elvin Mannheimer: Hmm.. the gasoline engine is still going to need oil changed and other normal maintenance associated with other car engines. Then there's the drive unit...I would just take your dealer's word on maintenance costs, I really doubt anyone else like an independent mechanic would have a clue how to maintain one of those cars.
Loriann Carrigan: number of miles you think you might drive x maybe 20 cents a mile, 12000 x .20 = 2400 does not include fuel , total w/fuel 35 cents a mile 12000x .35 = 4000
Hwa Waterford: Very Easy question to answer this one....how much money do you have to spend on ur baby? I am sure any mechanic or dealer will be happy to answer that question.
Indira Wassell: It depends on how many miles you drive per year. Normal maintenance is an oil and filter change and a tire rotation every 7,500 miles. This is an easy DIY. Every 15,000 miles you should drain and fill (never flush) ! the transaxle and change the cabin and engine air filters. Also an easy DIY. At the 50,000 mile mark the coolant needs to be changed. It's hard to get all the air out so this is best done by the dealer. At 100,000 miles spark plugs and brake fluid should be changed. Over 100,000 miles you can expect to spend about $4,000, which includes tires, if you have all your service done by the dealer. You can cut this in half if you DIY the easy parts.Based on my 2001 with 80,000 miles and my 2004 with 108,000 miles....Show more
Dulcie Edis: Normal maintenance is about $200. However, repair for parts and labor out of the norm can be in the thousands! Forget the Hybrids! Media and gov't are in love with these for the wrong ideas! You don't save anything compared to gas run economy vehicle. In fact , you lose money over the long run!
